CADET CHALLENGE
JROTC PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM
The overall goal of the JROTC physical fitness program is to improve Cadet Strength, cardio-vascular endurance, flexibility, agility, speed and promote a healthy lifestyle. Our unit conducts a physical fitness regimen which adequately prepares Cadets to meet the physical rigors of JCLC (Spring Camp), Cadet Challenge and other related activities. Fitness training is Cadet led, under the supervision of JROTC instructors.
CADET CHALLENGE
The Cadet Challenge demonstrates individual fitness as an important element of personal growth and development. Cadet Challenge incorporates the Physical Fitness Test from the President’s Challenge Program. Cadets are evaluated on the following events:
CADET CHALLENGE AWARDS
Cadet Challenge Medals: Personalized Cadet Challenge Medals (Gold, Silver, & Bronze) will be awarded to the top three male and top three female cadets who obtain the highest scores on the Cadet Challenge Physical Fitness Test. To be eligible for these awards, cadets must attain at a minimum the President's Physical Fitness 85% level in all events.
President’s Physical Fitness Awards: The President’s Physical Fitness Award recognizes students who achieve an outstanding level of physical fitness. Students who score at or above 85% on all five events will receive the following awards: JROTC Physical Fitness Ribbon (N-2-2), Presidential Physical Fitness Award Patch, Presidential Gold Medallion, PT Excellence Arc Pin, and a Personalized Presidential Unit Certificate signed by 6th Brigade or designated representative.

- Curl-Ups
- Pull-Ups or Push-Ups (or flexed-army hang, but only for National Physical Fitness Award)
- V-Sit Reach
- One-Mile Run/Walk
- Shuttle Run
